I teach introductory studio courses at Florida Southern College in Lakeland, including Drawing I and Introduction to Digital Photography.
My teaching centers on helping beginning artists build confidence while developing both technical skill and their own creative voice. I rely on clear demonstrations, guided practice, critique, and questioning to support students without taking over their decisions.
I want students to feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and reflecting, and to grow more independent in their creative choices through their own making.

Curriculum & Course Materials
I develop course materials that break technical and creative concepts into clear, approachable steps for beginning art students: lesson presentations, assignment guides, rubrics, technical reference sheets, critique prompts, and workflow checklists.
Across drawing and digital photography, these materials support practice, reflection, creative decision-making, and growing independence in the studio.
Community Arts & Gallery Work
Committee Member & Lead Graphic Designer · Black Heritage Gallery, Lake Charles
My relationship with Black Heritage Gallery includes exhibiting my own work and contributing to the gallery's community programming. As a committee member and lead graphic designer, I supported exhibitions, installations, art walks, promotional design, and public engagement. I also sent out the gallery's e-blast announcements before each opening exhibition.
